The International Joint Laboratory of Behavior and Cognitive Science at Zhengzhou Normal University invites applications for a full-time Research Scientist / Associate Professor position in areas aligned with the Laboratory’s research priorities.
The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing research projects and help expand the Laboratory’s academic profile. Main responsibilities include participant recruitment, screening, and enrollment; implementation of study protocols; physiological and cognitive performance assessment; data management and analysis; manuscript preparation; and supervision of research assistants involved in the project. The appointee is also expected to develop new research directions that complement the Laboratory’s core programs.
In addition to salary, the University will provide an apartment, insurance coverage, and additional academic performance bonuses.
Eligibility and requirements
Applicants should hold a PhD by research in Psychology or a closely related field (Life Science, Information Science, Biological Science, Education Science etc). Candidates should be under the age of 35.
Applicants must also demonstrate a strong record of research achievement by meeting at least two of the following criteria:
1. Publications as first author or sole corresponding author, including either at least one paper in a JCR Q1 journal or at least two papers in JCR Q2 journals.
2. A successful grant application for a foreign expert program at the provincial or higher level in China.
3. Experience in leading or co-leading early-career research projects funded by the national funding agency of the applicant’s home country. Only government-funded projects are recognized; projects funded by academic societies or professional associations will not be considered.
